We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures that we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open." ~ Jawaharlal Nehru

FIRE!!!!!!!!

"Firemen never die, they just burn forever in the hearts of the people whose lives they saved."
~ Susan Diane Murphee

I remember back when I was in elementary school, every year there would be an assembly that the fire department would come in and introduce us little kids to the fire fighters. I think that the main idea behind this was so if there ever was a real fire that we wouldn't be afraid of the "scary monsters" coming to take us away . . . also known as, firefighters trying to save our lives and bring us back to our scare parents! :) Roland said his school only did the fire drills. Well, in the five and half months that Roland and I have been married we have become very intimately acquainted with the fire alarms around us!

The fire alarm in our apartment is super sensitive . . . which is good and bad! I think that just about every time I am cooking something I set it off! Not that I have burnt anything mind you . . . except popcorn, but I don't know why Roland wanted me to make him something grows like popcorn, after all, I don't like it, but that is besides the point! :)

I think it was sometime in October . . . but it was still when it was somewhat warm outside . . . but our fire alarm in the whole building went off at 3:30 in the morning! At first I thought it was part of my dream, but then Roland woke me up telling me to get up because it was the fire alarm! What the fire department thinks happen is that someone who might have been drinking a little too much pulled it on accident because there was no fire! It was a interesting way to meet some of our neighbors though! :)

This week, on Monday around five in the morning while I was at work the fire alarm went off! I don't think I have ever heard such a loud fire alarm . . . seriously, I couldn't hear for about five minutes after they turned off, but I am getting ahead of myself! So, due to not knowing if it was a real fire or not, we had to wake everyone up and evacuate them out of the building . . . to say the least it was interesting! Turns out that it was a water main that had broke on the other side of the building and it had set off the sprinkler system which of course made the fire alarms go off and call the fire department! I still remember what my boss looked like when she came in in a hurry . . . still in her pajamas! :)

I hope that not every six months we have to test the fire alarms both at home, in the apartment building, and at work! :) But now at least I do know what to do if there is another emergency! :)

School Adventures

"He who opens a school door, closes a prison." ~Victor Hugo

This week has been an exciting one for us! Roland has started back up with school! He is enjoying the classes he is taking this semester, but I think it is mostly because of two reasons: he isn't taking an English class and he is taking a Spanish class! :) It is a good thing his is enjoying school because he still has SEVEN more years of school ahead of him before he "grows up" and will get a "grown up job" as a pharmacist! I think that it is good thing that he is the one who is going to have to take all of those science and math classes, or it would be a lot longer than seven years! haha :)
He LOVES his Spanish class, I think it is because he can talk in Spanish and they wont yell at him for using a language that they don't understand, like I do! :) I guess I better start learning some Spanish, because I don't think it is going to be going away anytime soon! :)
Well, that is about it for exciting things this week, but I am sure more is yet to come! :)

The Begining

"Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop." ~ Lewis Caroll

It is funny how at a drop of a hat I can give you a brief bio about myself to a complete stranger, no sweat. But when sitting down in front of a blank page, that I am free to write what so ever my little heart may so desire to write, I come up with nothing! :)

Five months ago, yesterday, was the happiest day of my life! I got married to the most amazing man in the whole world (or at least in my opinion!) in the LDS Nauvoo temple! :) Married life has been an adventure, to say the least! So, we have decided to let you in on some of our adventures: past, present, and future! I hope you enjoy, because I know I am!

So, I know that you are just shaking and scratching your head right now, trying to figure out why we named our blog "Future Fuller Family Funny Farm"! Well, Roland's dad always refers to his family as the Fuller Family Funny Farm, due to how we all are crazy enough to be on a "funny farm"! :)  So, to not plagiarize, we have decided to declare our inheritance of being the "Future Fuller Family Funny Farm"! :) Oh, and no, I am not calling my in-laws old . . . just more experienced and mature! :)

Roland and I met at institute the summer before he left to serve a two year mission for our Church in Arequipa, Peru and I left to go out to BYU-Idaho. I wrote him (and he actually wrote me back) while he was gone. Okay, so I do have to admit that he was the first one to write a letter, but mine were longer! :) So, two years later, shortly after he came back, we started dating. He asked me,on December 21, 2009, to marry him and spend all of time and eternity by his side. I, of course, said yes! :) Almost a year after he had been home and since our first date, we were married and sealed for time and all eternity in the Nauvoo temple!

Roland is currently working at part-time Target and going to school full-time at UW Stevens Point. I am working as a CNA at an Assisted Living. Life is simple right now, but the adventures are just beginning!
